Live Performance Venue Grant program hits the stage statewide | NSW Government

Hospitality venues across NSW can now apply for up to $80,000 in grant funds to diversify or expand their live performance offerings and bring even more vibrancy to the state’s nightlife. The Office of the 24-Hour Economy Commissioner’s $2.5 million Live Performance Venue Grant program will support small to medium venues intending to stage live performance or significantly increase their current offering by providing funding for staging and sound equipment, paying performers and costs related to marketing and promotion.The grants will be open to small to medium hospitality venues across NSW including cafes, bars, restaurants, wineries, distilleries, breweries, hotels/pubs and registered clubs. This program also aims to enable more local communities across the state to easily access a range of live performances including live music, theatre and musical theatre, cabaret, dance performance, First Nations storytelling, spoken word, comedy and more.This is the first time the Live Performance Venue Grant Program will be open to venues across the state with eligible venues able to apply for grant amounts between $15,000 and $80,000.More than 50 venues across Greater Sydney, Newcastle and Wollongong received grants under the first round of the Live Performance Venue Grant Program.

Downtown Tallahassee and COCA are the local applicants for the Levitt Foundation funding. Council on Culture and the Arts Executive Director Kathleen Spehar says it all comes down to community support for the Levitt Foundation grant award. "So as many people voting as possible is what we need. You can vote if you live in Tallahassee, if you live outside of Tallahassee, if you live outside the country, anyone can vote for us."If Tallahassee is successful in its quest for the Levitt Foundation grant, local venues like the Adderley Amphitheater at Cascades Park could be hosting many more musical events in the future.Tallahassee is one of 100 communities up for a grant from a national arts foundation.

Grant could help Loudon bring back live music to amphitheater, votes needed

A grant could help bring live concerts back to City of Loudon, but the community’s help is needed to make that happen. The City has been selected as a finalist for the Levitt Foundation’s AMP music series grant awards, which funds free, live music concerts in public spaces across the country. But public voting will determine which cities receive the grant.As the City of Loudon grows, it is asking for the public’s help to bring a vibrant multi-concert music series to the city.According to the Loudon City Mayor, Jeff Harris, while the amphitheater has held a number of events every year, it’s been almost 20 years since it hosted its last concert series. He said if they were to receive this grant, it would help fund seven concerts per year over the span of three years.Voting for the grant funding is open to anyone, and begins Friday at 1p.m. through September 15th at 8p.m.
